Terms of use

These terms apply to Estate Wars and your TPOT account, on tpotgames.com and in our apps. They are run by TPOT GAMES LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17491482), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. Contact: support@tpotgames.com.

Your account

• You must be 18 or over to play.
• One TPOT account per person. Keep your password to yourself: you're responsible for what happens on your account.
• You can delete your account at any time in the game or on your account page.

Playing fair

• No cheating, bots, scripts, or using bugs to get ahead. If you find a bug, tell us.
• No second accounts to help your main one.
• No hate, threats, harassment or slurs in chat or in names.
• No scams, and no selling or trading accounts or game items for real money.

If you break these rules, our staff can warn you, mute you, reset your boss or ban your account, depending on how serious it is.

The game

We keep working on the game, so things will change: prices, balance and features. We may take it offline for maintenance, and in rare cases start the city again, with notice. We'll do our best to keep it running, but we can't promise it will always be available.

Diamonds and purchases

• Diamonds and everything else in the game can only be used in the game. They have no cash value, and you can't sell them, swap them or cash them out.
• Diamonds you buy are added to your account as soon as you pay. Online purchases usually come with 14 days to cancel for a refund. When you buy diamonds, you agree to give that up, because they're yours to use straight away.
• On the web, the diamonds may be sold to you through Onelink, Stripe's payment service (always if you buy from outside the UK, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and Gibraltar). Onelink then sends your receipt and handles payment questions.
• That doesn't affect your legal rights. If diamonds you paid for don't arrive, or something else goes wrong with a purchase, contact us and we'll put it right or refund you.
• Refunds. If a diamond purchase is refunded, we take those diamonds back. Anything you bought with them since is undone where it can be (such as looks, items, boosts and rushes), which gives those diamonds back first.
• If you used some on things that can't be undone, your diamond balance goes below zero until you pay it off, and we also take resources worth what those diamonds bought (what your estates make in 6 minutes for each diamond). If your estates don't have enough, we take them from goods you sent to other players after the purchase.
• Chargebacks. If you ask your bank or card provider to reverse a diamond purchase (a chargeback), your account is closed for good straight away, and that card can't be used here again. If something went wrong with a purchase, email support@tpotgames.com first and we'll sort it out.
• Purchases in the apps are also covered by Apple's or Google's terms.

What you post

You're responsible for what you write: chat messages, comments, names and taglines. We can show them in the game and on our site, and remove anything that breaks these terms.

Our responsibility

The game is provided as it is. We're not responsible for lost progress or items caused by outages, bugs or resets, except where the law says we are. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under consumer law, or our responsibility for anything the law doesn't allow us to exclude.

Changes and the law

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. The laws of England and Wales apply to these terms.
